Afew minutes after abby was born and she was snuggled up on my chest we clamped the cord and i was able to cut it. We had to rub her a lot to get her to cry a ton, she wanted to sleep after all that hard work (just like her mommy and daddy). We were able to start breast-feeding shortly after i cut her cord and she is now eating like a champ. Daddy got to burp her in between breast-feeding and he was a total champ. He got to hold his first newborn ever, just afew minutes old. Abby is all snuggled up in mommy's arms and ready to take a long nap.

Abby!!!!!! Oh my gosh! We love you! Our first grand daughter! Thanks for the photos so quickly while I know you are so busy being a new mom and dad. We have a request...a picture with no little hat on so we can see her hair.

Can't wait to see how long it takes dad to get her a pc and have her coding....Enjoy her as I am sure you both will...makes me smile to know what an excellent time you have ahead of you...you are going to love being a Mommy and Daddy....and if you need anything feel free to call anytime...we still have a lot of Laineys baby things if you need anything.

You two are amazing! Abby is beautiful...those gorgeous eyes! How desperately I wish I could be there to take her newbie photos!!!! Ellie sits on my lap as I type...she smiled wide when she saw the picures! Now she has a new friend...maybe a pen pal...err IM pal as the years press on!

Brian, Dad and I were so happy and proud to talk to you just now at the hospital. Wow, you have burped her, and even given her a bath already! Just like your own dad. He was the first one to give you a bath too! We are using all our phones calling "our people" to share in the joy of our wonderful, beautiful, first grand daughter! You sounded so tired. After Diana finishes her shower maybe all three of you can get some well deserved rest. Again, a million thanks for all the blogs, videos, and photos.
