After over 3 hours of "getting ready time" we have arrived at home. I finally understand why it is that parents with kids tend to run a bit late. We got Abby all bundled up ready for the car ride, and then heard rumblings down south, so we had to take everything off and do a quick diaper check just to put it all back on again. I am slowly becoming a diaper and swaddling pro. (As it has mainly been my job as of late.) Diana and I teared up as we drove away from the hospital. All and all it was an amazing birth. Not everything went as "planned" but everything went perfect none-the-less. I must give Swedish Ballard two strong thumbs up. The nursing staff was fantastic! Our "main nurse" Jennifer sat with Diana for hours while she labored just keeping her company and making sure everything was going well. Their attentiveness and attention to all of your needs was phenomenal. The COO even came by to see how we were doing. If you or someone you know is planning on having a birth in the Seattle area and you come to be for advice on where to go; I will be sending you straight to Ballard with no questions asked. We have begun reading all of your comments, and emails, and started listening to some of the voice mails. We feel so warm with so many friends and family that care about us in this special time. All of your kind words fill our hearts. They are appreciated.

Welcome Home! Let us know if you need anything (food, diapers, etc). We know how the first few weeks go.
Hi Abby, It's Mimi and I want to tell you how much I love you and how anxious I am to hold and cuddle you (Mommy and Daddy aren't the only "best" cuddlers, you know!) I will see you soon. Hi Diana and Brian, Welcome home! How did it feel walking into your home with your little girl in your arms? Thanks so much for the phone calls since I couldn't access the blog. It was frustrating not getting to see pictures and updates! I'm set for the weekend, though. Love you all bunches! Mimi/Mom

Dad and I just LOVED doing the web camera video chat with you today!!!! WOW, Abbigale live and in person! She is so tiny! You were such a beaming dad in the chat. We laughed when you we worried because she "moved" in her crib as she was napping! Now, you will begin to understand why we were always so worried about you. That's just what parents do, worry about their children...no mater how old they become. We wanted to reach our hands through the computer and hold and love her and hug and kiss you and Diana! We love our new title- Grandma and Grandpa!
