Putting Abby to Bed

Abby has begun to enjoy routine and, if it can be called such, tradition. To assist with bed and nap time, Diana came up with a little good night song. Its very simple, and even I can sing it. Abby loves it, and it seams to help her go to sleep. I love being able to sing it to her a couple times a day. Here is a video of her song:

Starting time off again

It has been 9 weeks that I have been at work full time, and I am now taking off again.  I get to spend the next three weeks with Abby.  The difference in this time off will be that it will just be me, Abby, Bilbo, and Libby.  I will be all alone with the little Smolt.  Not sure what kind of trouble we will get in, but I am sure it will be a lot of fun.  Diana has been doing a fantastic job getting her onto a schedule of feedings, naps, etc.  So all I should have to do is implement that schedule.  Sounds like a piece of cake!  What could possibly go wrong ;-).

On a different note, I am very excited for my birthday this year, I am going to be going to a class on climbing Mount Rainer at REI.  I am hoping to give the climb a try either this August or next August.  I am not in the best of shape, and have been starting a slow plan to get in shape for the >14,000 foot mountain.  Will keep you posted.

Seattle Aquarium 04/04/08

Brian Julius came to town for a visit, and we went to check out the newly renovated Seattle Aquarium.  It was pretty neat, lots of great photo opportunities.  We saw little sharks, big octopus, brightly colored fish, playful otters, and silly seals.  Abby seemed to enjoy gazing at the brightly lit fish tanks.  It was a gray rainy day in Seattle, so it was nice to do something in doors.

The two Brians went skiing on Saturday at Steven's Pass - they came home pretty tired and say they had a great day  I'm trying to figure out if they did more ski runs than beers consumed or vice versa.  Abby and I hung out at home that day, just relaxing, grocery shopping and getting ready for my grandparents to come visit.

Abby can now bat at things near her with her hands.  She is starting to show interest in her toys, which is really cute.  She seems to be paying attention to her bedtime stories as well. She is still sleeping through the night and is now starting to nap really well during the day.  She continues to grow like a weed :)  This cute Valentine's outfit that Kristin gave her is just now getting too small for her.  She is also a certified drool bubble blower and champion smiler.
